The SBS Advantage

The SBS Advantage

Shanti Business School campus in Ahmedabad

Shanti Business School was set up in 2010 as a Corporate Citizenship Initiative of the Chiripal Group, a diversified, multi-thousand-crore business house with interests spanning textiles, chemicals, infrastructure and education. That parentage matters more than it might seem. At SBS, industry alignment is woven into the curriculum and delivered from day one. This is why boardrooms, factory floors and live business problems find their way into the classroom as a matter of course, not as an occasional guest lecture.

Faculty at SBS:

SBS faculty are research-oriented, equipped with contemporary industry knowledge and experience from leading institutions including IIM Ahmedabad, XLRI, IIT Roorkee, MICA and IIM Indore. Faculty regularly publish research articles and case studies in ABDC-, Scopus- and Web of Science-listed journals. Holistic learning is at the heart of SBS pedagogy, with case teaching, simulations, role plays and presentations forming an integral part of classroom learning.

AI and Technology-Focused Curriculum:

The curriculum incorporates tools such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, Python, Business Analytics and AI applications, and is aligned with the standards of leading B-schools across the country.

Accreditations & Rankings:

The PGDM and PGDM (Marketing) programmes are AICTE-approved. SBS’s PGDM is NBA-accredited and has MBA equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). SBS was ranked the 10th best B-school in India’s West Zone in the prestigious ICARE–Outlook rankings, recognising its industry alignment, robust curriculum and diverse student culture.

Specialisations & Electives:

Students can specialise in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, Data Science, and Digital Marketing & Brand Communications, supported by multidisciplinary electives. Global academic partnerships bring international certifications, faculty exchange and a global perspective to a programme completed in Ahmedabad. AI integration and dual specialisation combine strong fundamentals with practical exposure.

Diversity:

SBS attracts students from more than 15 states and 40 cities, creating a diverse campus community. Around 45% of students and 50% of faculty are women.

Placements at SBS:

The 2023–25 batch received 355 offers from 163 recruiting companies, with a gross placement value of ₹13.32 crore, an average package of ₹8.65 LPA and a highest package of ₹16.12 LPA. SBS has offered meaningful career opportunities to its students since inception.

Legacy Recruiters:

Leading corporate brands recruit SBS students each year, including EY, HDFC Bank, Kotak, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Asian Paints, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, Flipkart and TCS.

Awards & Recognitions:

SBS has received multiple awards for academic excellence and industry connect, including Best Management College in India for Industry Interface (CEGR), Best Management Institute of West India for Placement (ICCI), the Gujarat Excellence Award by TV9, and the Outstanding B-School Award at World Education Congress 2026.

Research & Incubation:

SBS encourages students to build their own ventures through its on-campus Incubation Cell and supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem. Funding, mentoring, networking and pitch-deck support help students take their business ideas forward.

Strong Alumni Base:

Around 2,500 students have graduated from SBS in the past 16 years, and our distinguished alumni work in middle- and senior-level positions at leading corporates.

Prolonged Mentoring System:

SBS offers personalised, 360-degree guidance through faculty, peer, industry and alumni mentors. This sustained mentorship supports specialisation choices, impactful internships, placement preparation, academic guidance and career growth.
